Nowadays a Dutch security guard is impossible to imagine without a badge, a shiny pin in the shape of a V. It gives the guard his status; the badge says the person is trustworthy and powerful. People don’t doubt the badge for a second, eventhough anybody can buy it for a couple of Euros at the local dumpstore. Are we really being protected and if so, by whom? I’ve simplified the badge and added real value to it, by turning it into 100% silver. I’ve made it a jewel; the V-pin. In the end, the only one you can really trust is yourself. Protect Yourself!
